The Legal Stuff

Whether you’ve donated some content to us, have a forum account, want to link to us or use our logo, here’s the lowdown

User generated content

TowersStreet allows users to post content and opinions in a completely un-moderated format. User generated content on TowersStreet Talk and other interactive elements are not the responsibility, nor necessarily the views held by TowersStreet. As such, we also cannot guarantee the reliability or accuracy of any of the information posted by members.

Members are reminded through our community expectations above that any content they deem to be inappropriate should be flagged using the ‘flag post’ button on the offending post(s). The team will then be made aware, who will review the post and edit or remove any inappropriate content as soon as possible. Readers who are not signed into the forum may also flag issues with content by contacting the team, the details of which are located on the team profile page.

Your contributions to TowersStreet

If you happen to be generous enough to have donated content to TowersStreet, be that through an article, photo(s) or video(s), then first of all – thank you! We’d like to assure you that by doing so you are simply giving permission for us to display the content on the TowersStreet community. This includes the website and TowersStreet Talk along with social mediums such as Twitter and Facebook.

We won’t offer your images to any other third party website or business. If we happen to receive a request from someone to use your images, we’ll contact you and leave it up to you whether you want permission to be granted or not.

At no point do you lose your rights to the content, and you have the right to request removal of content from the site at any time. Should you wish to do this, please visit the team profile page or PM a member of the team via TowersStreet Talk. We will respond to your removal request within 7 working days.

Your TowersStreet Talk account

If you are signed up to our forum TowersStreet Talk, you can request deletion of your account if you wish. To do so, please contact the team either via private message, or using the details on the team profile page. If account removal is requested, this is done as soon as your message is read by a team member. So if you’d like to discuss any issues prior to deletion, please let us know beforehand and we will try to resolve these with you.

Account removal will delete your account immediately and you will no longer be able to log into the forum. Posts you’ve made will not be deleted unless you request otherwise, however all identifiable information will be deleted. The username next to the posts will be amended to an anonymised, random name.

Use of the TowersStreet name or logo

If you have a presence online on a YouTube channel, website or Facebook page then feel free to link back to TowersStreet. Our only request is that you don’t make out that TowersStreet endorses a website, product or service without express permission from the TowersStreet team.

Our logo may only be used with prior permission from us, so please contact us if you wish to use it prior to adding it to your website.
