As we revealed a number of months ago, The Sanctuary is set to open it’s doors once again for advocates trials before The Ministry of Joy opens it’s revolutionary new facility, The Smiler, in May. The reopening of the new for 2012 scare attraction has been confirmed by StaffordshireNewsletter.co.uk

The Sanctuary was closed 50 years ago after a number of patient trials went wrong, but the facility is once again open and under the control of the slightly mad Doctor Kelman. The Sanctuary received praise from the majority of the Alton Towers community and is rumoured to have recieved a number of improvements making guests leave with even more smiles on their faces.

Also, a new promotion is set to run were guests who visit the theme park over Easter will be able to return for only £1 once The Smiler opens in May.

With only 1 week left until the 2013 season starts, TowersStreet will be here bring you all the latest news on our website, on Twitter and also on Facebook. You can discuss all the exciting developments on our forums.
