Post in thread or trip report?

Should people just posting a recap of their day at the park, with no news in it, actually just post a trip report? There are a lot of posts in the Scarefest thread for example that just give a recap of peoples day out, where they didn't even do any mazes, its just a report on what rides they got on, so basically a trip report.

Maybe posts in general threads should be about what was new, or interesting (such as decorations, changes to operations or new shows) but reports on the rest of the day (such as how many rides you did, or the length of the queue) should go into the trip reports thread?

You've pretty much explained how it should work. If you're mainly pointing out what you thought of the components/atmosphere of the event = in the event topics as it's a continuation of the speculation/discussion that's in there and adds to the topic constructively.

If you're talking about a step by step of what you did throughout the day with ride counts etc with photos = in its own individual topic. If you spot anything that should be in its own topic, then feel free to hit the report button and the team can review :)
