Merlin Parks & Attractions: Quick Questions.

Does anyone else think its strange Merlin Discovery pass excludes the 2nd week of April (which schools are in) and does not exclude the last week of March (Easter holidays) looks like they didn't check when Easter was this year (31st March) when setting the Discovery exclusion dates, lol

For many areas the Easter holidays are the first two weeks in April.

I guess they didn’t want to block out 3 full weeks so made a decision to go with the first 2 weeks in April. Perhaps that is when most areas are off.

Plus the usual obligatory reminder that Academies do not have to follow their Local Education Authority's holiday dates either, making the whole thing difficult to fine tune.

Yes there will be its up to 20% yet only shows via merlin holiday club specific booking links per attraction

In other news the merlin holiday club booking pages now require you to enter your pass number to view prices and book.

System was being abused.

Got a question for my topic!

Does anyone know if I buy a day ticket at Thorpe, can I get the money back if I bought an MAP on the same day?

If you buy a ticket at Guest Services / Box Office, they usually take the price of a full day ticket off of the MAP. You won't get your money back, as such.

These Merlin Packs take AGES. 30 working days it says. Think I'm on working day 27 now. In this day and age that's stupidly slow especially by the time it arrives I'll only have 10.5 months left on it 🤭

Still awaiting the welcome pack 40 working days later. CS advisor told my wife "we sent out via DPD, it must have got lost. They won't provide the tracking number. Then said last Thursday they would resend a pack. We asked for a tracking ref today. They have us a Royal mail reference and said we won't be able to track until it's delivered 😂

So maybe what that mean is they haven't released it to RM and don't know when that will be

Basic Royal Mail doesn't have tracking, just confirmation of delivery. Therefore if the tracking says no information until delivery then its just being sent standard first/second class.

You usually get a email or text from a random company with your tracking number for DPD, I think most people think it’s a scam because it doesn’t mention Merlin or anything and some random company (can’t remember the name now)

At Legoland Deutschland today, was nice and easy getting 50% off park entry at the ticket booth as well. Also bought a car park ticket for the reduced rate as well (€8).

Sadly when I tried buying a magnet in the park I asked for passholder discount and they tried scanning it without any luck.

Forgot to mention the gate price for Legoland Germany was €64 so it was €32 for entry.

Also according to the T+Cs you can only use it at each park once per year. So when I'm off to Gardaland in September a two day ticket direct from the park seems the best deal.
